Parts Room/ Driver

The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management and safe driving practices, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory and Warehouse Operations:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of parts and materials for accuracy and damage.
  • Organize and maintain inventory in the parts room or warehouse, ensuring items are labeled, stored, and easily accessible.
  • Track stock levels and update inventory using inventory management software or systems.
  • Distribute parts and materials to internal departments as requested, accurately recording all transactions.
  • Perform routine and cycle inventory counts to reconcile stock levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with purchasing to reorder supplies and maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Pulling Materials for Jobs using Bill of Materials paperwork
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the parts room in accordance with company policies.

Driving and Delivery:

  • Safely operate a company vehicle to transport parts and materials to and from vendors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Load and secure cargo properly using appropriate equipment (straps, chains, covers, etc.).
  • Complete all delivery and pickup documentation, including verifying contents and obtaining required signatures.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any vehicle issues or incidents.
  • Comply with all local traffic laws, company driving policies, and safety standards.
 

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely transport loads weighing up to 6,000 pounds.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory, or parts room environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory tracking systems or software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks involving walking, bending, and standing.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols for handling and transporting hazardous materials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with vendors, coworkers, and customers.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Work Environment:
This position involves both warehouse and driving responsibilities. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. PPE will be provided and must be used as required.
